Eskmo performance at Camp Bisco was captured on video, which was featured on URB.com with this short writeup:
"The man one Youtube viewer described as “devastating dubstep/experimental dubstep/whatever the @#$* ESKMO is”. We’re not sure how to describe the recent Ninja-tune signee either..."
Eskmo displays a true love and passion for this 'indescribable music', which is obvious watching him when he performs.
Eskmo joined a slew of amazing artists at the Camp Bisco festival in New York earlier this month.
"MARIAVILLE, N.Y. — Around 2 a.m. on Friday on a wooded hillside here, about 30 miles northwest of Albany, a few thousand young music lovers poured into the humid summer darkness from a tent where they had just seen an up-and-coming band with a two-word name. The first word is Holy. The second is anything but." New York Times
Camp Bisco 2010 was has shown amazing growth for a newer music festival, bringing in close to 15,000 fans this year. Pretty impressive for a festival that started in 1999 will only 900 fans. Since the decline of record sales, artists have been attending these amazing music festivals that have been popping up to the delight of live concerts addicts in every city.
Eskmojust completed a 2 day video shoot for the first single on the album. He posted these remarks on his Facebook about the experience:
"Seriously beautiful psychedelic California landscape action. Also, some behind the scenes guerrilla style sneaking across fields with cows running alongside us in droves. :)"
Make sure you are following Music2Artists on Twitter to get live updates regarding tour dates, new releases and anything new about our artists.
The winner's track will be featured in the Glitch Mob's upcoming DRINK THE SEA Remix Album that will launch during their 2010 Fall Tour. Proceeds from the sale of the release through Download to Donate will benefit Music For Relief's Haiti Earthquake Recovery.

Retronyms have teamed up with musicians Eskmo, Exillon, Jneiro Jarel, and Starkey to release Outer Spaces, an EP in which all the tracks used Retronyms' iPhone app DopplerPadin their production.
DopplerPadis a synthesizer-based instrument inspired by tools such as the Korg Kaossilator and the Yamaha Tenori-On. It mimics the standard DJ setup of a mixer with turntables on either side, and is complete with over 40 instruments, a gate arpeggiator, loop export via wifi, instrument and effects editors, and Audio Copy and Audio Paste with compatible apps.
"Because we designed DopplerPadto be a tool professional musicians can use, we thought it'd be great to put together a compilation that showcases just what musicians are doing with it," says Retronyms co-founder Zach Saul.
So Retronyms contacted the artists involved, and they agreed to contribute tracks to the project. Some artists chose to use DopplerPad for the majority of the track production, while others used DopplerPad for sketching out ideas and then imported loops to a DAW for further manipulation.
For example, Eskmo relied heavily on the sampler while using DopplerPad, and Exillon and Starkey used Logic and other DAWs in addition to DopplerPad to create theirOuter Spacestracks.
Starkey (P.J. Geissinger) says about the experience, "Of the iPhone apps I've had the pleasure of messing around with, DopplerPadis by far one of the most fun and engaging. It took me a few train trips to really wrap my head around it, I must admit. But after I realized that the app was built more around spontaneity and less about midi sequencing, I was creating interesting loops at a feverish pace."
Outer Spaces is the first EP to use an iPhone app as an instrument in every track, and it can now be downloaded free of charge from http://www.dopplerpad.com/outerspaces. Retronyms are also celebrating the Outer Spaces launch with a DopplerPad sale, taking 20% off its original price for a limited time.
